Stroke Research

More than 50,000 Australians experience stroke each year – Australia's third biggest killer. The first 4.5 hours are critical to their survival and recovery prospects, with the only available treatment needing to be administered at a hospital within this time. With your help, researchers at IMB can take to clinical trial a drug derived from spider venom, which could protect the brain from stroke for up to eight hours and could get to patients who are far from hospital care.

Support the creation of a drug that could potentially stop the devastation caused by stroke.
